7 Days to Die Storm’s Brewing V2.0 – Everything in the Huge Update

After 10 years in Early Access, 7 Days to Die hit its full 1.0 release in July 2024 and exploded in popularity. With over 125,000 concurrent players on Steam and even more across consoles, the hype isn’t slowing down—and now, Update V2.0 brings a ton of game-changing content and systems.

1. Biome Progression

New survival-focused system with hazards per biome:

✅ Biome Difficulty Order:

  1. Pine Forest – No hazards
  2. Burnt Forest – Embers, smoke
  3. Desert – Heat
  4. Snow – Cold, windchill
  5. Wasteland – Radiation

🎖 Biome Badge Challenges (per biome):

  • Wear specific armor or previous biome badge
  • Harvest biome-specific resources
  • Craft hazard-resistance remedies
  • Mine specific ores
  • Kill biome enemies
  • Loot within the biome
  • Spend time there

Rewards: Biome Badge = loot stage cap raised, hazard resistance, unlocks next tier biome.

Optional: System can be turned off via game/server settings.


2. Biome Loot Stage Cap

  • Loot caps tied to biome difficulty.
  • Advancing to a new biome raises the cap in earlier zones.
  • Disabled if Biome Progression is turned off.

3. Dynamic Storm System

Storms are biome-specific and deadly.

  • Thunderstorm (All biomes – no damage)
  • Ember Storm (Burnt Forest)
