A fresh Marvel Rivals leak has fans buzzing, revealing that Blade and Phoenix are set to join the roster in Season 3. Talk of their arrival has been floating around for a while, and this latest leak seems to confirm that the wait might soon be over.
Season 2 of Marvel Rivals kicked off on April 11, themed around the iconic Hellfire Gala from the comics. NetEase leaned into that by adding the Krakoa and Arakko maps and introducing Emma Frost—a standout from the Gala—as a new Vanguard character.
Ultron also made his entrance shortly after, expanding the Strategist class and giving players even more options to play with.
Now, the focus has shifted to what’s next. Over on the Marvel Rivals Leaks subreddit, user VeniceArtime dropped an image that appears to confirm Phoenix and Blade for Season 3.

According to the post, the July Twitch Drops event will feature the two characters and teases: “Phoenix and Blade will ignite the action in Season 3.” The leak also revealed the upcoming season’s title: Abyss Awaken.
Players can also expect new team-up mechanics, rumored Venomized skins, and what’s described as “sizzling summer events”—hinting that those long-awaited summer skins are just around the corner.
Fans may remember that back in December 2024, a leak already hinted at Jean Grey/Phoenix joining the lineup.
That leak proved accurate about other additions, like the Human Torch and Storm team-up. Since then, Phoenix’s name has popped up a few more times, including in rumors linking her with Elixir.
Blade, meanwhile, has been a highly anticipated character, especially after his cameo in Season 1—where he’s seen captured by Dracula on the Central Park map.
Since then, players have been speculating that he’d eventually make his playable debut, and this new info adds more fuel to that fire.
The leak also suggests Season 3 could launch on July 11, with a Klyntar theme—the homeworld of the symbiotes.
If that holds true, players might be headed to a brand-new symbiote map, with none other than Knull, the symbiote god, serving as the looming threat. Still, keep in mind this is all based on leaks and rumors—nothing’s official until NetEase makes the call.
