Once Human is finally heading to consoles! NetEase’s popular online survival game is officially coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2026, giving console players their first chance to jump into the chaos.Â
Developed by Starry Studio, Once Human is currently only available on PC and mobile, where it’s already built a strong following.
The game originally launched on PC in July 2024, quickly racking up over 230,000 concurrent players on Steam.
Since then, it’s stayed hot, pulling in over 30,000 daily players thanks to frequent updates and engaging multiplayer features. Now, with the console version on the way, that player base is only expected to grow.

The big news came during the Once Human Global Annual Showcase stream on July 2, where the devs revealed that the PS5 and Xbox versions are nearly done and on track for release in 2026. Console players can wishlist the game now to earn some exclusive early-bird rewards when it drops.
And don’t worry—if you’ve already got progress on mobile or PC, your account will carry over to consoles. That said, the console versions might need a bit of time to catch up with content and updates before all platforms are fully synced. But once they do, NetEase says everything should run in lockstep.
The console release marks yet another major step for Once Human, which is already a standout title in NetEase’s growing lineup alongside games like Marvel Rivals, Naraka: Bladepoint, and FragPunk. Mobile users are loving it too, with Once Human scoring 4.6 stars on Android and 4.5 on iOS.
While you wait for the console drop, there’s still plenty happening in the PC and mobile versions. The newly released Annual Version 2.0 update just landed, featuring a revamped class system, a new PvE mode called Endless Dream, the Dreamland Wonder event, and more.
If you’ve been holding out for Once Human on console, the wait is nearly over—2026 is looking like a big year.
