The Sims 4’s newest patch has brought more than just enchanted forests and magical vibes—it’s also unleashed total pregnancy chaos. Thanks to a bizarre bug tied to the Enchanted by Nature expansion, players are reporting that Sims are randomly getting pregnant, and nobody is safe.
Pregnancy Pandemic Hits the Sims
While not every player is experiencing this surreal bug, those who are have discovered that their neighborhoods are mysteriously filling up with pregnant Sims—regardless of age, gender, or actual in-game activity. Yes, even male Sims and those who haven’t so much as flirted are waking up expecting.
And the weirdness doesn’t stop there. Some players are even seeing child Sims marked as pregnant (yikes). The Sims has always leaned into the strange and chaotic side of life simulation, but this is pushing the limit of what players signed up for.

What Happens When a Sim Gets Randomly Pregnant?
Turns out, pregnancy in The Sims 4 comes with some unexpected restrictions. Pregnant Sims can’t Woo-Hoo, can’t take pregnancy tests (which makes sense because… they’re already pregnant), can’t age, and can’t even blow out their birthday candles. Basically, once a Sim is randomly marked as pregnant, their life kind of goes on pause—forever.
While the Enchanted by Nature expansion is all about bending the rules of the natural world, this bug feels a little too chaotic. Players are understandably annoyed that their carefully curated Sims are suddenly stuck in perpetual pregnancy limbo.
A Fix on the Way?
As of now, there’s no official fix—but fans are hoping EA drops a patch soon to deal with what some are calling The Great Baby Glitch. Until then, players are just trying to find workarounds… or crossing their fingers that their Sims don’t wake up expecting.
