Secret SpongeBob Area in THPS 3+4: How to Skate into Bikini Bottom
Yup, it’s real. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 lets you skate under the sea in Bikini Bottom—home of SpongeBob, Patrick, and the rest of the goofy gang. No joke. Is it a full stage? Nah. But is it a rad little easter egg packed with nostalgia and vibes? Absolutely.
Here’s how to find this watery hidden gem and take a quick skate sesh down in Bikini Bottom.
🌊 Where to Go: Skater Island (THPS 3)
This secret’s hidden in Skater Island, one of the stages from Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3. So if you’re looking to dive into SpongeBob’s world, start there.

🗺️ How to Get to Bikini Bottom – Step-by-Step
Total TIme: 2 minutes
Enter Skater Island
Load up Skater Island from the THPS 3 stage list.
Skate Left to the Pirate Ship
As soon as you spawn in, take an immediate left. You’ll see an old-school pirate ship chilling in the corner.
Find the Bowsprit (aka the “pointy part”)
The key here is to grind the bowsprit — the long beam that sticks out from the front of the ship. It’s not the easiest jump, so here’s how to do it right.
Build Momentum & Grind
Hold A (Xbox) or X (PlayStation) to charge up speed.
Push forward with the Left Stick.
Tap A/X again to jump toward the bowsprit.
Hit Y (Xbox) or Triangle (PS) mid-air to grind the beam.
Jump Off the End Into the Ocean
At the very end of the grind, jump off the bowsprit and aim for the rubber ring floating in the water. You’ve gotta stick the landing (or at least land close) for the magic to happen.
“Several Days Later…”
If you nailed it, a classic SpongeBob-style screen will pop up with the iconic “Several Days Later…” cutaway. Then you’ll spawn straight into Bikini Bottom!

- Squidward’s Easter Island head
- Patrick’s rock

- A few ramps and rails for light skating
It’s not a full map, but it’s an amazing little homage for fans—and a perfect screenshot spot.
