He might look a little intimidating (those teeth!), but he’s your ticket to getting one of the most coveted crops in the game: the Venus flytrap.

Here’s everything you need to know about how to feed Jim, get seed packs, and unlock your very own flytrap plant.

Where to Find Jim the Angry Plant

As soon as you load into the game, look toward the center of the main map. You’ll spot Jim—a giant Venus flytrap with wiggling jaws. Walk up to him and press ‘E’ to interact.

Jim’s whole deal is simple: bring him the exact fruits, vegetables, or flowers he asks for, and he’ll reward you with seed packs. No biting involved—promise.

How to Get Venus Flytrap Seeds

You can only get Venus flytrap seeds from two sources in the game:

1. Basic Seed Packs (From Jim)

Every time you complete a request for Jim, he eats the plant and spits out a Basic Seed Pack. These packs have a super low 0.01% chance of containing a Venus flytrap seed. So yeah, it’s a bit of a grind.

2. Premium Seed Packs

Once you’ve fed Jim around 50 times, he rewards you with a Premium Seed Pack, which has a better 1% chance of dropping the Venus flytrap.

You can also buy Premium Seed Packs using Robux:

  • 1x Pack – 199 Robux
  • 3x Packs – 575 Robux
  • 10x Packs – 1,699 Robux

Just interact with the Premium Seed Chest right next to Jim to make a purchase.

Can You Plant More Than One?

Nope—you can only plant one Venus flytrap in your garden at a time. But it’s a multi-harvest crop, like grapes, so it’s definitely worth the effort.

Each harvest sells for 15,000 Sheckles, and while you can’t mutate it with “Shocked” just yet, other mutations like Gold, Rainbow, and Wet will help boost your earnings.

So yeah, the grind is real—but unlocking the Venus flytrap feels super rewarding. Whether you’re farming up dozens of Basic Seed Packs or spending Robux for a shot at a Premium one, it’s all about timing, luck, and feeding Jim exactly what he wants.

Have you managed to get the Venus flytrap yet? How many seed packs did it take? Drop your number in the comments!
