Time in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma ticks by slowly—sometimes painfully so. Especially in the early game, when you’re asked to be at a specific place at a specific time, it’s easy to find yourself just… standing around.
The good news? You don’t have to waste real-world time waiting for the in-game clock to catch up. The game gives you a built-in way to skip forward to key times in the day.

Here’s how it works.
🛏️ Use the Bed at the Dragon Shrine to Skip Time
Head to the bed inside the Dragon Shrine in your village. Interact with it, and you’ll be presented with three options:

- Sleep
- Wait Until Noon
- Wait Until Nighttime
Let’s break each one down:
💤 Sleep
This option ends your day entirely. You’ll go to bed and wake up at 6:00 AM the next day. It also tallies up the XP you earned that day and helps move your crops along in their growth cycle.
When to use it:
- When the main quest (or a bond quest) asks you to wait until tomorrow
- When you’re farming and want to grow crops faster
- When you’ve wrapped up all tasks for the day and want a clean slate
☀️ Wait Until Noon (12:00 PM)
This skips forward to midday, no matter when you use it.
When to use it:
- If a quest starts at or around noon
- If you’ve completed your early-morning tasks but need to kill time until the afternoon
- You just want to speed things up
🌙 Wait Until Nighttime (7:00 PM)
This one’s great for late-game or evening quests. It skips forward and puts you back in control at 7:00 PM.
When to use it:
- For quests or cutscenes that trigger between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM
- If the evening is packed with story beats and you’ve got nothing left to do during the day

🕰️ Should You Use Time Skips Often?
At first—absolutely.
The early hours of Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma can feel a bit slow, especially before all the farming, combat, and crafting systems are in full swing. Using the time skip mechanic is a smart way to avoid burnout and get to the good stuff quicker.
As the game opens up, you’ll naturally have more to do during the day—harvesting crops, upgrading gear, managing businesses, doing bonding events, and more. At that point, skipping time becomes less necessary since your days will be packed.
⏩ Bonus Tip: Use Sleep to Speed Up Crop Growth
If you’re farming and waiting on crops to grow, sleeping through to the next day is a great tactic. It lets your plants progress a full day and refreshes all your village production lines—so you’re not just skipping time, you’re also optimizing your income.
