Lies of P just hit a major milestone—over 3 million copies sold—and the folks behind it are getting rewarded in some seriously awesome ways. Developer Round8 Studio and publisher Neowiz are celebrating the achievement with generous bonuses, extra vacation time, and even Nintendo Switch 2 consoles for the entire team.

According to a report from South Korea’s The Elec (via VGC), every staff member at Round8 Studio will receive an extra two weeks of paid vacation, on top of the 15 days already guaranteed by South Korean labor law. On top of that, they’re each getting 10 million won (about $7,300 USD) and a brand-new Switch 2, which is expected to launch sometime soon.

🎮 Lies of P: A Surprise Soulslike Success

Since launching in 2023, Lies of P has gained a strong following thanks to its haunting steampunk twist on Pinocchio and its tight, challenging Soulslike gameplay. The game’s popularity surged again during Summer Game Fest 2025, when Neowiz shadow-dropped its long-awaited DLC, Overture.

The Overture DLC introduced a bunch of new content—monsters, weapons, time-travel plotlines, and even optional difficulty settings, a move that’s stirred up some debate in the community. Still, it’s helped bring in more players, and the recent update to Overture has addressed many common complaints.

🛠️ Overture Update Details

The latest patch to Lies of P: Overture includes:

  • Monster difficulty reductions for repeat playthroughs
  • Crash and bug fixes, including item storage issues
  • Overture is now *accessible in New Game+ starting from Chapter 5 (“Path of the Pilgrim”)

These changes were made in direct response to player feedback, and they show Round8 is still very much in tune with the community.

🔮 What’s Next for Round8 Studio?

While post-launch support for Lies of P continues, Round8 Studio isn’t slowing down. They’re working on two major projects:

  1. A sci-fi survival horror game (new IP) for PC and consoles
  2. A sequel to Lies of P, which, according to early rumors, could launch as early as 2026

So yeah—big things are still coming from the team behind Lies of P, and if these recent bonuses are anything to go by, it’s clear Neowiz recognizes just how special this game has become.
