The latest Nintendo Switch Online update has brought a beloved GameCube classic, Super Mario Strikers, to the Expansion Pack service.

This update is part of Nintendo’s continued push to expand offerings for subscribers, who pay $49.99 annually for access.

Subscribers at this tier get everything from the standard service, plus games from Sega Genesis, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo 64, and now GameCube.

GameCube games joined Nintendo Switch Online when the Nintendo Switch 2 launched on June 5.

Initially, subscribers had access to three fan favorites: F-Zero GX, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and Soulcalibur 2.

Now, Super Mario Strikers, the much-loved multiplayer soccer title, has been added to the lineup, complete with full online play support.

Switch 2 subscribers can dive into the wild soccer action of Super Mario Strikers, enjoying Cup Battles and quirky power-ups that set the game apart.

Though Switch 2 users might still be missing a modern soccer favorite like Rematch, the energetic gameplay of Super Mario Strikers is a solid replacement.

Nintendo has confirmed several other GameCube hits are set to join soon, including Chibi-Robo, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Luigi’s Mansion, Pokémon Colosseum, Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, and Super Mario Sunshine

If the pattern follows the Nintendo 64 game rollout, fans can expect even more GameCube classics down the line, potentially including most of Nintendo’s popular first-party titles.
