William Kassouf Show at the WSOP Main Event is officially over. And not with a whisper, but with a straight-up storm of penalties, arguments, and one last dramatic blow-up before being shown the door.

The polarizing British poker pro was eliminated Saturday night during Day 7 of the $10,000 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em World Championship, finishing 33rd for $300,000. But the money is a footnote — it’s how he went out that has everyone talking.

William Kassouf Busted from WSOP Main Event After Chaos-Filled Run — Banned and Booed Off Stage

Kassouf’s Classic Chaos: Talking, Tanking, and Ticking People Off

Let’s be real: Kassouf is known for toeing the line of what’s acceptable at the poker table. He’s been a speech-play guy since forever — remember his 2016 run where he nearly made another player cry?

This year’s WSOP was no different. From stalling, to talking endlessly, to arguing with everyone from players to floor staff, Kassouf made himself the center of attention from Day 1. By Day 6, his antics pushed opponents to start calling the clock on him almost immediately in every hand — and eventually the tournament staff slapped him with a 10-second decision timer to speed things up.

Let’s just say… he didn’t take that too well.

The Final Blowup (And Blowout)

Day 7 was when the tension finally hit critical mass. On literally the first hand of the day, Kassouf had the clock called again — and he lost it.

  • First penalty: One-round suspension for verbal abuse of an opponent.
  • Second penalty: More arguing, more heat with tournament staff.
  • Third time’s the charm? Not quite.

By the time Kassouf shoved all-in with pocket sevens against chip leader Kenny Hallaert’s king-five, the writing was already on the wall. The flop looked good for Kassouf — ace-jack-ten — but a king on the turn flipped the script, and the jack on the river sealed his fate.

And of course, Kassouf didn’t go quietly.

“Disgrace. You’re all pathetic. I’ll see you next year. I’m going to bang you all up.”

Yikes.

He stuck around mouthing off until security escorted him out of the Horseshoe Events Center. The crowd gave him a fitting goodbye with a chorus of “Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye.” Classic.

Banned from the Rest of the Series

After busting, Kassouf was informed by tournament director Dennis Jones that he was banned from the remainder of the WSOP, which wraps up Wednesday. He won’t be allowed back in any official events until next year — assuming he’s even welcome then.

Kassouf Defends Himself

In a post-bust interview with PokerGO, Kassouf was still fired up:

“I’m here to play my game my way… I’ve not called the clock on anyone all tournament. I gave them respect. But they’re calling the clock on me every five seconds? I’m sitting there with 10 bigs and they want to rush me?”

It’s vintage Kassouf. Love him or hate him, he knows how to steal the spotlight — though this time, it cost him more than a few chips.

Who’s Still in the Running?

While Kassouf exits in flames, 24 players remain in the hunt for the $10 million first prize. Here’s your Top 10 chip count:

Love Him or Hate Him, Kassouf Stays Kassouf

Whether you think he’s a misunderstood table warrior or just a professional poker troll, there’s no denying William Kassouf brought drama, chaos, and plenty of memes to this year’s WSOP Main Event.

In the end, he walked away with $300K — and probably more headlines than the actual chip leaders. Mission accomplished?

We’ll see if he makes it back next year, or if this is the final chapter in the Kassouf saga.

Stay tuned — the WSOP Main Event is heating up, and there’s still $10 million on the line.
